I need VPS Hosting on a Linux Server with SSh root access and dedicated IP’s. I need it to be under 50 bucks. Any good recommendations that have decent support also ?

For example. I upload /software/ folder somewhere. After this I create subdomains. The /software/ folder is automatically put on each sumdomain folder?

is this possible and how do i do this? because i am sure it is possible since several websites I know do this.

I have a few web stores and one of them has gotten too big for shared hosting. I think I want a VPS host that uses linux, apache, and cpanel. Any sugestions?

My bandwith counter was at 600mbs on a 999999 (whatever amount of nines) bandwith account and suddently “This Account Has Been Suspended” was all you could get.
Pass was reset. No access. Received an email saying that too much band was used bla bla, move to VPS or else.
From $6 to $10. I felt like sending them $50 to go get some customer relationship lessons. A gift from me since they seem to have it so hard.
I went for the $10 VPS Linux so that I can at least get my data back.
But liked the full contral of it all etc etc so I am giving it a go.
Learned that cURL didn’t work so my site is dead anyway so I spent 4 hours installing cURL but the thing wouldn’t install unless you installed something else and THAT wouldn’t install unless you installed something else and so on russian dolling linux madness until i got to the point that the first thing DID install and so on till the end 4 times in total (digging the links out of google as theirs were dead so I had to discover what their processor was for the right package) and in the end I restarted the server, crossed my fingers and cUrl STILL isn’t working.
Nor is email.
I am into technology, build pcs, bike/car/beats/any engines, sites, washing mahines anything that can be taken apart so I usually hit on it till I master it but i am now wondering if this is really on.
It looks like I could be stuck on it for 6 monts doing a lot of guesswork and lateral thinking before I get my site back on track.
You know, somebody that’s used to a horse and cart gets given a 1967 Rolls Roice in boxes and two broken clues on how to set the camshaft timing, no gap settings for the valves and some “factory problem” with the oil feed!
I know it is only $10 a month but if I must take 2 weeks off to study a book on how to set my VPS up via what looks like old DOS commands then technology isn’t THAT advanced is it?

Internet “tutorials” all assume you know already how to perform many simple (to them) operations but when you don’t, it’s hell.
Years ago I learned to prioritize and to be as logical as I can in my decisions.
I make $7000 a month using shared servers, but I need to be on top of it 14 hours a day.
Duplicating my business ca be done in about a year if I keep on schedule, and I am working on a system that next time can duplicated in three months only.
Should I drop everything, change direction to learn how to set up emails and scripts with linux servers?

I agree that the Bash shell can be sexy to the right people but I just love to fiddle with my 1972 Alfa GTV! It takes me to the seaside where I can see the horizon in the evenings
